“Who are you?” she asked. “I know your name but still, I don’t know you.”
“I am what you see, an honest man.” he said.
“I cannot see your heart. Your heart contains everything you think,” she replied, “and because I can’t see wat you think, I don’t know who you are.” (Pro 23:7)
“The only clue I have of who you are is by listening to you because Jesus said that where your treasure is, your heart will be also. Your mouth reveals what is closest to your heart.” (Mat 6:21)
“The only thing your mouth is filled with at present is your capabilities, your achievements, your properties and the financial losses you have suffered last week.”
“As in water face reflects face, so a man’s heart reveals the man, (Pro 27:19) and the only clue I have of what your heart contains is by listening to what you’re saying.”
“Sometimes unfortunately, the heart is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked under the cunning tongue of man.” (Jer 17:9)
“Nobody would know who you really are except God because He does not look at your appearance or physical stature. He only looks at your heart.” (1 Sam 16:7)
“Are you trying to tell me that I cannot make jokes or talk about normal day to day stuff?” he asked.
“No, no of course not. We may, but the real test comes when you are alone with your own thoughts. What are you thinking about most of the time?”
“Start looking at your heart by examining your thoughts and if you are disappointed, ask God to refresh your heart (Phm 1:20) or even give you a new one. (Jer24:7)
