Lynette woke up early in the morning. Her phone suddenly announced the arrival of new messages and she immediately started reading them.
The day before did not start well. Some of her friends experienced serious difficulties but after an organised prayer exercise, the day ended well.
The new messages did not bring good news. The same problems of the day before, had re-emerged. She closed her eyes while tears freely flowed down her cheeks. “Why, Lord?”, she said. “Not again.”
“Everything went so well yesterday. Why… again? Have our prayers not been answered after all?”
“No they have, but more prayers are sometimes needed for one subject on more than one occasion, Lynette.” Jesus said.
“You have to realise that every bad thing is caused by the dark forces in this world. Even though I have stopped a fight in its tracks, the devil tries to start a new battle the very next day.”
“Why would he do that, Lord? He certainly knows You have conquered him.”
“He hates Me, Lynette, and the only way he can get even is by attacking the people I love so much.”
His time is running out and his methods will get uglier and his attacks more frequent than ever before. He has many demons in his army.”
“It is time that My people realise that they have to be much more vigilant, willing to put more effort and time into prayer.”
“But we do, Lord, we do!”
“Yes, you are but also keep in mind that once a prayer has been answered, the crisis might not be over since another attack might be imminent.”
“Let me remind you what happened many years ago in Israel when Amalek fought against My people. Moses had to keep his hand with the rod of God up while standing on a hill overlooking the battle. The hand of Moses did the same as a person praying for other people.”
“That battle lasted till sunset and every time Moses got tired and lowered his hand(prayer), Amalek prevailed. He soon needed support to keep his hand up until the battle was finally won.” (Ex 17:8-13)
“Once there was a severe drought in Israel which lasted three years. Elijah prayed and he, being used to the instant answer from God, sent a servant out to look over the sea whether clouds are starting to form. Nothing happened at first. He had to keep on praying. Only after he had sent him out 7 times, a small cloud appeared, and it started raining soon afterwards.” (1 Kings 17)
“I have conquered the devil, but he is constantly and frantically trying to hurt Me and you.”
“Pray and experience the miracle but allow more prayer time before you stop. It does not mean you have to pray constantly, it means that you have to come back to the same subject more frequently until I tell you, it is done.”
