My Place in Space

I was thinking how sad my life would be if I only noticed the bad, ugly and wrong in life, that would not be good.

“What would not be good, child?” Jesus asked. “All the hardship and pain or the fact that it is the only thing you would notice?”

“I think both, Lord. What makes it worse is that we would miss life for taking our eyes off from what matters the most.”

At that moment it felt as if Jesus took place next to me when He said, “God created space and He saw that it was good.”

“It was void in the beginning until He created space for everything that lives on earth.” (Gen 1)

“However, when I look at people, I see the topmost beauty of creation. What are you looking at?”

“Remember this, if you lived in a perfect and wonderful place without disasters, it would not have been necessary for Me to keep an eye on you. You would have been doing your living all on your own.”

“Now, while living here on earth, you have the Holy Spirit. You have Me, holding your hand.”

“Do you realise that before your spirit was formed, there was nothing in the space you’re taking up now.”

“Now you are. You have a body, soul and spirit and you are experiencing your space in Space. Your whole life is shining proof of your place under the stars.”

“If you were not born, you would have experienced nothing and there would be nothing in the space you are taking now. The only thing missing would be you, but no-one would know.”

“It is so good to experience you in the space you’re taking with Me. It is so much better though when I notice you enjoying and appreciating your experience of life, regardless of the problems around you.”

“Your place in space is secured. It can never be removed. Keep on shining.”

Holy Ground

“Lord, Jesus, it seems that the devil is using his power lately over people in a most disturbing way.”

“Christians and Jews are killed by non-believers. Young girls are getting trapped as sex slaves. People are tortured, humiliated and hurt for financial benefit or just for the fun of it.”

“It seems the evil-doers are living a scot-free life.”

“No, My child, at the proper time, I will judge uprightly.” (Psalm 75:2)

“In My hand is a cup with foaming red wine, well mixed and it will be drained on and drunk by all the wicked of the earth.” (Psalm 75:8)

“Every person who attempts to force anyone to bear the mark of the beast on his forehead or hand will also drink from this cup.”

“Those who endeavour for a new world order with one government and religion will experience My judgement the hard way.”

“However… warn My children that some still hurt Me by rejecting My will for their lives completely. When they do, they quench the Holy Spirit, leaving them unprotected and causing them many hardships. (1 Thes 5:19) That is not from Me.”

“When they quench the Holy Spirit, they walk on unholy ground.”

“Time for judgement is not far but time for people to serve has arrived more than 2000 years ago.”

“Take courage, child. You have the Light and you have experienced My presence and victory in this seemingly troubled age… Be a light to others.”

“Many may think that with all the evil doings of evil people, the earth is tottering… I am still keeping it steady!” (Psalm 75:3)

“Believers who follow Me, serve Me by looking after other people, caring and praying for them. They walk on holy ground. Pray for wisdom.”

“To serve does not mean you have to stop living. Live your life, enjoy every second but keep your eyes on those who cross your path. Assisting each other has become a crucial task today.”

“By following Me, you are walking on Holy ground.”

Show Yourself

“Who are you?”

“I am Char…”

“No, I don’t mean your name, I mean what are you?

“Lord, Jesus, I am a human being, consisting of body, soul and spirit.”

“Why then, My child, is it possible for you to communicate with Me?”

“I suppose it is because of my spirit, Lord?”

“No, it is because you have the indwelling Holy Spirit.”

“You have received the Spirit to live freely and so that you can go out and tell the prisoners to be free too.” (Isaiah 49:9)

“Tell the people in darkness to show themselves by getting into the Light.” (Isaiah 49:9)

“This is who you are. A human being with body soul and spirit living in the light of the indwelling Holy Spirit.”

“When you die, you would have to leave your body behind.”

“However, do you realise that you would also have to leave behind the presence of the Holy Spirit.”

“It is so sad that often people get so busy using their communication devices and other utilities for days on end while they neglect to communicate with the Spirit.”

“Appreciate the Holy Spirit while He is still with you, My child. Show yourself to Him every day by seeking His presence. Talk to Him, love Him and honour Him.”

“If you find yourself in a somewhat dark spot, know that it is time to show yourself.”

The Power in our Hands

Dark thunderclouds rolled in from the south. The wind picked up speed. Thunder and lightning proclaimed the extent of the approaching threat.

Soon, the sound of hail smashing down on rooftops close by could be heard. Birds franticly flew around seeking shelter.

Gareth put his hands into the air and started to pray, “Lord, let this storm cease. Storm, in the Name of Jesus, calm down!”

Moments later the storm reached his home but the hail had stopped and the wind was calming down. As it started to rain, words of praise and gratitude rolled over his lips.

It is astonishing to know what we could do with the power in our hands.

Once upon a time Moses also stretched out his hands. He always had a rod in one hand. He turned water into blood and many other wonders followed in Egypt in similar fashion.

He opened a path through the sea with the rod and later when Amalek fought against them, his people prevailed because he held the rod in the air with his hands. (Ex 17:12)

The power in his case was in the rod. However, he had to lift it up into the air. Every time he lowered his arms, Amalek was stronger.

Today we have much more than a rod in our hands. We have the power of the Holy Spirit.

From the 1st to the 15th of September 2016, different parts of the world have experienced flooding, wildfires, severe droughts, earthquakes, volcanic eruptions and typhoons leaving thousands dead.

Are we using our hands correctly?

If we are raising them up towards God and pray, we will prevail. But it has to be done without wrath or doubt. (1 Tim 2:8)

Time to lift our hands and start praying with the power in us has become more crucial than ever.

A Cold Breeze

We confess to be believers, followers of Jesus Christ, and yet, often we feel a cold breeze of unhappiness folding down on us.

A long time ago Jesus told His disciples what would happen in the days we are living in now. (Matthew 24)

He told them about the wickedness of our world causing the love of many to grow cold. (Mat 24:12)

Interesting to note is that the Greek word used for “growing cold” means, to gently blow over something with the purpose of cooling it down.

The wickedness in the world is blowing over us to cool down our love for Jesus.

When something good happens, we have an uplifting or energising experience.

On the other hand, however, all the corruption, unfairness and wickedness, have a negative effect on us all, cooling down our love.

We cannot move out of this world to escape the cold breeze.

We want to experience Jesus but the wickedness has caused many of us to have lost the assurance of His presence.

Some try to find Him at other places, without success. Some look for Him in secret spots or perhaps an inner room somewhere, all in vain. (Matthew 24:26)

Some have grown too weary to carry on. Many have given up!

Take heart, although we may not be able to see Him with our eyes, we can talk to Him, listen to Him and love Him because He is in our hearts. He promised that He would never leave nor forsake us. (Heb 13:5)

Feel the warmth of Jesus’ love covering us from all sides.

Let the breeze of corruption, perversion and wickedness pass by without effect.

Get used to

Bad stuff are happening in the world, droughts, raging fires, cyclones, flash floods and mudslides. Not to mention corrupt governments, murderers, wars and unfairness. The sorry part is that we are getting used to it all without lifting a finger.

Many of us have merely accepted the fact that the weather is changing for the worst. El Niño and La Niña have become almost alive like two mighty powers in nature and all we must do is getting used to it.

“Really,” Jesus said. “You’ve become so complacent,”

“Why, Lord?”

“You expect Me to save, to rescue, to give and to bless. I have merely become your easy passport to prosperity and safety while you enjoy a relaxed carefree life.”

“When I was on the boat with the disciples and a raging tempest arose at sea, I stood up and rebuked the wind and the sea and it calmed down immediately.” (Matthew 8:26)

“I also made a promise that those who believe in Me, will do even greater works than Me when I have gone to My Father. You have that power for over 2000 years now.” (John 14:12)

“The enemy tries to hurt and destroy you with forces in nature and power of bad people.”

“However, the moment you stand up to pray and rebuke the evil in nature and nations, you immediately have an army of angels standing by to protect you.” (2 Kings 6:16-17)

“After I have calmed the storm on that little boat I asked the disciples why they had so little faith.”

“To experience the power, you have to believe!”

“Before you get used to the circumstances, rather get used to the Power in you and speak up!”

Breath of Wisdom

John looked down at his wife who was lying in the hospital bed with their new-born in her arms. While looking down at her child, John realised that she was so close to her baby, she was actually breathing over him.

At that moment, Jesus spoke into his heart.

“John, the same way your wife is breathing over your baby, I am breathing over you right now.”

“Recently, you complained about the fact that there is so much you don’t understand.”

“Take note that the only way for your spirit to get understanding is when I breathe over you.” (Job 32:8, 33:4)

“When you lack understanding it is because you have distanced yourself from Me. Going to church and living a holy life is excellent. However, in order for Me to breathe over you, you need to seek My intimate presence.”

“How, Lord?” John asked.

“You have the indwelling Holy Spirit, John. Don’t forget that! All you need to do is to surrender your spirit to Him. Don’t allow the worries of life to take precedence over your thoughts, allowing them to come between us. When you seek Me, believe in My presence!”

“Desire to hold Me so close that I can breathe over you.”

“A short while ago when your wife was in labour, you desired My close presence. I came very close to you and I am still very close… breathing over you.”

To be Continued

Jesus saw the fire of hate in their eyes. He also noticed an image of the devil dancing in rage, manipulating the people to crucify Him.

His body was finally broken to death on the cross and His Spirit descended into darkness, way down below.

For thousands of years, the devil and his army wanted to stop the power of the Son of God. This was their chance! All of them stormed at Jesus but the devil stopped them in their tracks… this was his job, his privilege, his delight.

Suddenly the dark domain was filled with a bright light. Jesus is, after all, the Light (John 1:5). This place made for sinners, received a sinless Man that day.

Jesus conquered the devil and his demons and filled them with fear.

Afterward, He ascended into heaven to unite with His Father and the Spirit in the heavens on high. This He did so that He could fill all things. (Ephesians 4:10)

We live in a world filled with the beauty of Jesus in us but often we also experience pain.

Today, some people with the same fire of hate in their eyes are still dancing in rage. The devil and his crew are still using them to hurt, kill and shame.

Jesus has filled us to conquer the devil, the brokenness and pain, leading us into a life of peace and joy. The days of the devil are counted and found short. His domain will soon be discontinued.

One day, while we are still filled with Jesus and this vessel is run down and dies, we will remain alive because we are… to be continued!

In the Eye of the Storm

A terrible storm caused havoc over a huge part of South Africa. Many people in the Western Cape were caught in the eye of that storm.

Several families were devastated and filled with fear while witnessing their properties being destroyed by gale-force winds accompanied by wildfires at different locations.

However, what can a person do while being in the eye of a superstorm other than praise and worship God!

Why?…

The reason for our joy should be obvious. We should realise that God is always keeping His eye on us, but there is more.

A prophet said that once Jesus has paid for our righteousness, God will rejoice over us in gladness. He will quiet our fears and pain. He will rejoice over us with singing! (Zeph 3:17)

Strongs describes the Hebrew word “rejoice” as literary meaning to dance, leap and spin around in joy!

We are righteous now and we have the indwelling Holy Spirit in us and the heart of God is dancing and singing over us right now! However, when we experience a disaster, His rejoicing turns into a quiet, tender care.

That means that when we find ourselves in the eye of a storm, we should immediately dance and rejoice in God because our Creator is not only present, He also knows exactly what is happening. Then He quiets our fear and covers us with His love. (Psalm 46:10,11)

Once upon a time, two men were beaten and thrown into prison. Late that night, they prayed and sang Hymns to God. At that moment, God caused a small earthquake to open the doors of prison which gave them opportunity to lead a prison guard to Jesus. (Acts 16:25-34)

It may sound strange to us but when we are experiencing our worst moments, even to the point of losing everything, we should keep on rejoicing in our God and Saviour. He will provide a solution. (Phil 3:1, 4:4)

After all, we are the apple of His eye and He is rejoicing and singing over us.

Reward

Simon earns a huge salary, providing a luxurious lifestyle for him and his family. His wife, Stacey, keeps their home and tends after the daily needs of her husband and three children.

One day, Stacey voiced her opinion about the fact that she did not earn a salary the way Simon did and yet, her role as wife and mother is just as important. “Your life is very rewarding,” Stacey said, “but all my efforts hardly see any rewards.”

“That is not completely true,” Simon said, “your efforts are stacking up rewards invisible to the human eye.”

“What do you mean?” Stacey said.

“Jesus said that when He returns with His angels, He will reward each of us according to our works.” (Matthew 16:27)

“We are not going to be rewarded by the size of our salaries or the car we drive. The only factor determining the size of our reward depends on the number and the size of our virtuous deeds.” (Rom 2:6, Psalm 62:12)

“Our deeds would include the way we praised and worshiped God and how often we did that. How often we seek the presence of God not because we need Him but because we longed for His close presence just because we loved Him so much.”

“How many times have we prayed for other people?”

“What did we do for other people to save them or to assist them or comfort them?”

“Each one of us are going to receive the crown of eternal life (Rev 2:10, 3:11) but how will that ‘crown’ sparkle in the light of our rewards?”

“All the money that I am earning comes in very handy and is nice to have but if I don’t make a difference in the hearts and lives of other people, my salary will profit me nothing.”

“Should we compare our deeds, Stacey, you would most probably have accrued much more rewards in your heavenly vault than me. God distributes His rewards according to His own special criteria.”
