Carrol-Anne was a singer who tried to appear on a popular television program, “The Voice” but due to unforeseen circumstances could not do that.
One day she told Jesus, “Lord, You gave me this voice and I wanted the judges on the program to turn their chairs around to face me and listen.”
“I know You have blessed me with this voice and yet, I feel somewhat unblessed by not getting on ‘the Voice’ in order to start my singing career.”
“Child, that program is not important. God will never turn His back on you! When you seek Him, you’ll find Him facing you because He is always calling out to people.”
“Many years ago, God called Abraham and made a covenant with him to bless him and his descendants. God is still keeping that covenant with you to this day.” (Gal 3:17)
“Abraham did not follow any rules or laws because at that time there weren’t any. God called him and he listened to the voice of God!” (Gen 22:18)
“That promise still stand. Seek first the kingdom of God (Mat 6:33)
and all the blessings shall follow you. Then you need to listen to His voice every day to know what to do!”
“I gave you the talent, Carrol-Anne, because I want you to use it in leading people to Me.”
“You were born with a voice, use it because death and life are in the power of the tongue! (Prov 18:21)
”
“Before you say a word however, listen to the voice of God! Then you would be able to open your mouth and sing to the speechless and plead the case of the poor and needy with the voice that God gave you!” (Prov 31:8,9)
“I have one problem, Lord; it is difficult to hear His voice every day.”
“Do not listen for an audible voice, Carrol-Anne, He sent you the Holy Spirit, remember. He speaks into your heart.”
“His most favourite words, regardless of what you are doing or what you might have done are, ‘I love you!’ Listen…”
