Hallelujah

One morning Emily started her usual prayers when she suddenly felt an urge to praise and worship God. She held her arms up in the air and called, “Hallelujah, Lord!”

After a while smiling and with tears running down her cheeks, she repeated the word, “Hallelujah” several times.

“Emily, I love you so much and I want to share something with you today,” Jesus said. “Do you realise that the word, ‘hallelujah’ is a huge blessing in your vocabulary.”

“Lord, I know You love us, but explain to me how hallelujah is a blessing for us when it is meant for You.”

“You see, My child, hallelujah is not a direct word of praise to God. The word hallelujah is made up of two other words in Hebrew, praise God. When you say, ‘Hallelujah Lord’ you are actually saying, ‘praise God Lord’. It is in the imperative, literally meaning, ‘you praise God!’ It is a command.”

“I understand that, Lord, but every time I use the word, it lifts me up. What is the reason for that? Every time I want to praise God and I say Hallelujah, it feels as if God blesses me more!”

“That is exactly what happens because there is a consequential effect based on the reason why you use the word hallelujah for the purpose of rejoicing in God!”

“It also works the other way round. The need to rejoice, urges you to use the word hallelujah, and when you do, you command your spirit to join in to praise God. Remember always that you also have the Holy Spirit indwelling you, increasing the effect of your praises to God because His Spirit is present. That is why you experience the peace of God covering your whole being.”

“Rejoice in Me… always. Be anxious for nothing because I am at hand. Make your prayers known to Me with… thanksgiving.” (Phil 4:4-6)

“When you do, the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds through Me, Jesus Christ.” (Phil 4:7)

“Although it feels like the end of the world when a Russian man shoots down a plane with hundreds of My people inside, it is not. It is also not the end of the world when people try to destroy My first called nation, Israel, and then put the blame on them for defending themselves. I am still in charge.”

“I’ve warned you of the efforts of the devil, trying to keep you from heaven. He is not succeeding but know that the time for rejoicing is now as important as ever before. Say Hallelujah as often as you can, your spirit will understand and follow suit.”
