Dean and his wife have experienced prosperity and wealth in all the 42 years they’ve been married.
Lately however, they’ve been running into difficult circumstances, completely opposite to what they’ve grown accustomed to.
They felt as if they have picked up a disease of some kind causing everyone and everything to run away from them. Financial problems came knocking at their door. They felt young enough to work and earn money but their age disqualified them in all the job applications. They were running out of friends too, it seemed.
When they prayed about this, Jesus told them to clean house, getting everything in order. They started by focussing on their home and in the process discovered stuff they thought they had lost years ago. An old Polaroid camera were found, a wonderful invention once, earmarked for junk now. Many books, photos and other more valuable stuff were cleaned and put in place. Lots of junk were simply cast out.
Dean thought they would be going home soon and asked Jesus, “Lord, why do You want us to do this house cleaning?”
“I am appointing both of you as My supervisors. Look around you at those in need, in particular of love, caring and understanding.”
“I want you to assist them. You would recognise them because you’ve been there lately.”
“You have acquired sufficient knowledge and experience to be experts in many areas. There is only one problem, at this time when you feel you are losing it, your lives need some self-evaluation and dusting off. Do some personal cleaning and re-organising.”
“There is another reason, Dean. I’ve been part of your lives from the beginning. Take note that you haven’t done this growing up and growing old on your own.”
“I will assist you in tidying up your soul closets and spiritual wardrobes. During that process, I will show you pictures of My input in your lives. Turn everything you own upside down and you would notice a sticker at the bottom that reads, ‘from your loving Father.’”
“If you read the journal in the library of your hearts you would notice how I’ve blessed you every second of every day.”
“Open your eyes especially now when everything seems to be running away from you and you would notice Me and some angels present too.”
“Frame those family pictures of your life with Me and remember them as proof that I have never left nor forsaken you and I will still never leave nor forsake you… ever!”
