The baby Spirit

Every person inherits his body and soul from his parents but his spirit comes fresh from God and he receives it before he is born.

In Luke 1 two pregnant women met. In the womb of Elizabeth the unborn baby, John the Baptist, sensed the presence of unborn Jesus in Mary and he reacted with joy by leaping in his mother’s womb.

This unborn baby in Elizabeth’s womb was physically incapable of hearing, not to mention understanding what had happened because his little body was still in the process of being developed inside the womb. Nevertheless, his spirit perceived the spirit in another woman’s womb. He reacted this way because he recognised the spirit of Jesus, confirming that we receive our spirit before we are born and still inside the womb.

Abortion at any stage after conception is killing a living human being.

Keep in mind however, that although our spirit is wise from birth, it is influenced by everything we do and it will look different at the end of our life due to these influences.

Our spirit is us. It is not a separate person living in our body. When we receive our spirit from God, it is united with our body and soul and we become human being. Separating body from spirit in any way leads to death of the human being.

It is so important to teach a child as early as possible to have a close relationship with Jesus, teaching him all the aspects of the spirit world so that he can be spiritually mature at an early stage. This does not mean that the child will miss his childhood days and become a young adult ahead of time. On the contrary he will have a fuller and much more rewarding childhood.

Some people will discover that the over-emphasis of their physical body and its desires, has led them to be unaware of their spirit, sometimes even denying the existence of a spirit.

Millions have unanswered questions because they have never learnt how to listen for answers which God, who is Spirit, speaks into their own spirit which came from God. God loves them so much and He answers and guides them but they are unable to hear what He says. What happens next is that they blame Him for not listening to their problems and not caring for them!

We are mostly unaware of the fact that it is our spirit who experiences the Holy Spirit and unless we spend time in developing and nurturing this relationship between our spirit and the Holy Spirit, we will remain spiritually immature. Maturity implies all three: body, soul and spirit.

Our spirit, in contact with and led by the Holy Spirit is able to pray in ways otherwise impossible (1 Corinthians 14:14, 15) .

Our spiritual ears need tuning in to receive spiritual guidance from God.

To have Jesus 24/7 with us is the most wonderful experience. Without the Holy Spirit tenderly caressing our human spirit, this would not have been possible.
