There is only one way of getting rid of the wages of sin but before we get there, read the following modern day parable explaining why Jesus had to become man.
Louis visited one of his farmer friends who was busy ploughing his lands to prepare the soil for the new maize season. He noticed a nest of black ants in the land carrying bits of the previous crop into their nest.
Louis realised that thousands of ants would be killed and the upper part of the ant nest would be destroyed very soon, as the tractors with the ploughs were approaching rapidly. The ants however, were unaware of this danger, a situation similar to the one in Japan when thousands of Japanese were unaware of a devastating tsunami rolling towards their towns at record speed. If only someone could have warned them timeously….
Louis looked at those ants and wondered how he could warn them to seek refuge deep down in the safety of their nest before it was too late. He clapped his hands on the ground and threw some sand in their direction but it was of no avail. They kept on with their daily routine as if nothing was wrong.
When Louis realised it was impossible to rescue them, he heard the voice of Jesus telling him that the only way he could warn and save them, is to become an ant himself. Being an ant, he would be able to warn all of them and send them into the safety of the nest.
That is why Jesus had to become man to show us who God really is. Jesus, however, did not only show us and warned us. He also took the punishment for our sins upon Himself. This He did by paying for every sin through His death on the cross.
That is why it is crucial to believe in Jesus Christ, our Saviour. Believe that He is the Son of God, Who died on the cross for our sins and that He is raised from the dead and is alive today.
1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
John 1:12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: Remember that Jesus died for sinners like us.
