A Picture

Take a picture of yourself and tell Me what you see: a jewel of a mansion or a shack next to a tree? Do you notice the paintwork, the cracks in the wall, or is everything the same as the day you were born?

What do you think I notice when I look at this picture? Don’t think for a second I would only be noticing the evidence of the distance you’ve travelled and the storms you’ve withered.
You call it age, the sum of days since you’ve put on the coat of flesh and bone. Yes, I know age has a tendency to display tracks where you were not supposed to have wandered at all.

However, if that is all you see, you are missing something huge. So, take a closer look at the picture. On the inside of the coat, you’ll notice your spirit that cannot age at all and that, My dear child, is what I see, when I look at you. The skin, the visible coat of flesh on the outside bears the wrinkles and spots of your journey through life, but what matters to Me most is the precious pearl inside.

A little child has a spirit eager to play and explore. The middle-aged feels just as great, has explored some but still desires to explore a bit more. For the aged the coat has become heavy and worn, but on the inside the spirit still feels as the day he was born.

The longer a spirit wears the coat, the more evidence that spirit would display of the relationship between himself and Me. So, with this picture in mind I put the question to you again – when you take a look at yourself, what do you see? Only, this time, forget the coat and look also at Me.

We’ve been friends since before you were born, even since the day your coat started to form. Your birthday was the best, but the day you crowned Me as your King, I will always cherish more.

Remember the joy, the hope and the peace! Nothing has changed as long as you notice Me, your close Companion for all eternity.

Don’t stop to live in Me! Carry on walking next to Me, keep on dancing while holding on to Me.

Love you,

Jesus.

PS – You’ll never grow too old to play and by the way, notice that inside the coat, right next to you, the Holy Spirit is always there with you!
