Edgar said something in a meeting that sparked a reaction. He saw the eyes, whispering lips, hand gestures and expressions of contempt.
Driving home after the meeting, he spoke to Jesus, “I don’t think I would ever feel good about myself in public again, Lord.”
“It is all about the trees, My child.”
“Trees, what about them?”
“They are everywhere. You will find some trees in a forest and some standing alone on a hill.”
“Billions of trees all over the world and no two are the same. This is unique, don’t you think. However, some have been bent or missing a branch or two. I suppose a forest would call them eccentric if it could.”
“Take another look at yourself and notice that no other person in the world looks like you. You are normal but unique, exclusively formed to be you. No one else but you can be you.”
“No other person sounds like you, smells like you, thinks the way you do, desires what you desire. You are absolutely unique in every single way and so is every other person in the world!”
“Do not compare yourself to other people. You did not fail when you struggled to achieve the same goals. Do not take their ambitions and dreams as the blueprint for your success in life!”
“Stop feeling bad when you do something different to what other people think is the rule.”
“You don’t need to feel self-conscious in public. Everyone is growing old. Beauty does not expire at the age of 30. On the contrary, true beauty increases just like good wine, on the inside.”
“When someone does not comply to a certain way of dressing or operating or thinking he is referred to as being eccentric. Many people have deviated so much from who they are by trying to be acceptable in the public eye, that they forgot how unique they really are.”
“Every person is unique and I am so glad you are uniquely you. I love every bit of you for being just you. Keep on doing your special things, follow your ‘peculiar’ customs, put on the clothes that you love and just be uniquely you. You are perfect peculiar eccentric true to Me. I love you!”
“Trees are good but I would never die for one. I died for you in order for you to live abundantly in your unique pair of shoes.”
