The Dream

She saw the industrial machine’s arms moving up and down while her grandson was standing close by. For some reason he extended his right arm and it got caught in the machine.

The boy struggled and managed to free himself but blood poured from a gaping hole in his arm.

“This is terrible!” Bell exclaimed. Then she suddenly realised she had been dreaming. A sigh of relieve escaped from her mouth.

It was too early to get up and she decided to turn back in again but the dream kept on bugging her. “I’ll dream again and change the whole story,” she thought.

While a new version of her dream started to take place in her mind, she heard Jesus say, “I am glad you are able to change that dream, Bell. Do you realise that nothing in your life is a mystery to Me?”

“Yes, Lord, and thank You for keeping Your eyes on me day and night.”

“You don’t understand, Bell. I’ve seen your whole life as in a dream from start to the very end.”

“I have rescued you on many occasion well in advance of the actual time it was supposed to have taken place.”

“However, keep in mind that you are not a puppet and I am not a puppeteer.”

“You are planning the dreams of your life and in the process make your own bed.”

“Lord, what would be the perfect dream for me in Your eyes?

“To live, My child, with every ounce of energy you can spare. When you focus on your spirit you’ll find that many of those dreams are Mine, embedded into yours.”

For the second time Bell sat up straight in bed. “Lord, my desire to paint or learn to play the piano, are they Your dreams too?”

“Yes, Bell.”

Both were silent for a while. She smiled and laid down again.

“Jesus, thank You for having protected me from many nightmares. You are the only one who have seen them. Thank You for turning dreams into reality!”

“This moment in time is real but also a dream! My life is Your dream come true. ”

“Thank You, Lord!”

The Captives are Free!

Psalm 126 tells us about the captives brought out of Zion. When they were freed, they felt like they were dreaming, their mouths filled with laughter and their tongues with singing.

When we read this we think about the suffering of many Christians in non-Christian countries. However, there are many captives in a free Christian society too.

In a message on Breakpoint (Sept 18, 2015) Eric Metaxas gave an account of what happened to a man who thought he was free, until he discovered what real freedom is.

Dean Jones grew up in a Christian home but decided not to embrace the family’s faith. He became an actor and performed in many Disney films.

In the career he chose, he became very popular and very rich. He was taken captive by the deceitful lifestyle of Hollywood and ended up depressed, divorced and alienated from his children.

In an interview later in his life, he confessed that having a Ferrari and the company of many beautiful women, still left him very alone. His life was… empty.

One day God touched his heart and after a near fatal drunken-driving accident, he called out to God and God reached out to him like He always does.

Dean related how a Supernatural peace flooded his soul, he was freed!

He still continued acting but on a different level and although he died earlier this month at the age of 84, he died a free man.

He discovered that it is very handy to be rich but whether you are rich or poor, the best way of living is in the company of Jesus.

To be free is to walk with Jesus like Henoch did. (Gen 5:22)

Problems may be present in our lives but someone living his life with Jesus, becomes as someone who feels he is dreaming, with a mouth full of laughter and a tongue filled with singing.

We, the former captives, are free to be rich or free to be poor, but most importantly, free to experience peace!

This we get free of charge!

First Date

“Lord Jesus, thank You for being able to talk to You whenever I want to. I don’t need to set a time or make a date to have a date with You. Thank You, Lord.”

“Do you remember our first date, My child?” He asked.

“I was still small, Lord, but I do remember, it was so good! I had a good childhood but when I met You I experienced peace and love on a different level.”

“Our first date was special but every date since, was great. Wasn’t it, Lord?”

“It was and it still is, My child but yet, I long for you sometimes.”

“But, Lord, here we are having a conversation.”

“Yet you keep on asking for the same things, child. To make a date with Me is good but few live like Enoch did. He did not make dates, he lived with Me, walked with Me, his life was a date.” (Gen 5:24)

“My children don’t want to spend much time with Me lately. They have grown so used to fast, instant service. Fast food, instant cash machines or quick messages on Twitter or Facebook is the standard.”

“Sometimes when people needs something from Me they send a brief request and then they expect an instant answer.”

“When Elijah prayed for rain, he did it on the top of mount Carmel and he sent his servant 7 times to see if clouds are starting to appear. He kept on praying till he saw a small cloud.” (1 Kings 18:43)

“When I was on earth I prayed often, sometimes through the night.” (Luke 6:12)

“After My first date with you, you went to bed that night, looking forward to get up the next day to be with Me. I watched over you that night the way I always do over all My children, waiting for the sun to rise to see you running around and enjoy life with Me.”

“We had many wonderful dates but you grew up, got busier in life and the instant way of dating became the norm. I am still watching over you at night, looking forward to the next day with you but I miss our dates.”

“You need rain. Stay with Me and keep looking for the clouds while you pray. Do you realise that you’re not my servant but My child and that I love you!”

“I also want you to consider doing what Henoch did. Take Me on a date this day and walk with Me. Include Me in all your conversations, introduce Me to those who don’t know Me.”

“Take Me to wherever you are going. By the way, I am in you and therefore I am going with you anyway. You don’t need to climb to the top of a mountain to pray. All I need is for you acknowledge My presence and live accordingly.”

“Help me to do that, Lord!”

Purchase a Talent

I’ve noticed a picture of a huge flight of doves sitting on the ground in the park of a city. They were apparently protesting against the lack of statues. I hope the city stood its ground.

A monument, on the other hand, is of much higher value.

God gave me Ephesians 5:15,16; walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil. (NKJV)

Then He said, “Take time and turn it into a living monument of righteousness.”

All of us have received talents that we should use in life. God will not compare us with one another because talents are not distributed evenly. One particular talent will determine how momentous and awesome we have lived or failed to do so and that talent is time.

For the first time I realised that time is a talent. We often see it as a burden to pass when we are bored. How we invest in our time is visible to God and He regards our lives as monuments.

Redeem means to purchase and set free, to recover time from waste and improve for a greater purpose.

I feel small when I notice how much time I’ve spent on trivial stuff compared to the time I’ve spent with Jesus and His calling.

I suddenly realised that time has a very influential character because it makes all the other talents come alive!

I have to make time to spend with other people. I need time to talk to God, praise and worship Him, experience joy with Him. I need time to sing, laugh and play, to thank Jesus for everything He has done. Time is of the essence.

Looking at my life since birth, I know the monument that I’ve built would be smallish. I haven’t mastered many new skills in life. I haven’t made many friends. I haven’t led many people to Jesus. I have spent too little time with Him and the Bible. I spent too much time complaining.

However, He loves me just the same.

Still, how much time do I have left to purchase and redeem for Him who gave Himself for me?

I would love to apply all my talents to love, praise and worship Jesus and all I need is time.

The talent is still available… for now.

Powerful Weapon

When Delia had finished catching up on social media, she put her phone down and started talking to Jesus, “I praise You, Lord, and thank You for this new technology. It is wonderful to use this.”

“There is something that is very worrisome though. What happens in Syria and other places is so sad.”

“My Israeli friends are receiving threats from their neighbours of demolishing them with a nuclear bomb!”

“It is sad but tell Me, Delia, is the nuclear bomb the most powerful weapon in the world?” Jesus asked.

“I believe so, Lord.”

“You believe wrongly My child. Christians, the righteous people, have the most powerful weapon in the whole universe.”

“Would that be You, Lord?”

“I’m not a weapon, Delia. I am your Saviour.”

“When God saw the earth without form, covered in darkness, He also saw in His mind how it should be and then He said, ‘Let there be light.’ (Gen 1:3) God spoke everything into existence.”

“God created you in His image. You have a mouth, tongue and lips and you have a voice to speak. Because you are believing in Me, you are also righteous!”

“That is why you have the mightiest weapon on earth!”

“The unrighteous may be busy planning a war against the righteous with nuclear weapons but the mouth of the righteous will deliver them!” (Prov 12:6)

“The mouth of the righteous is a well of life, his tongue is choice silver and his lips feed many.” (Prov 10:11,20,21)

“God created by speaking what He saw in His mind. In similar fashion you should be speaking, confessing, singing and praying for what you see in your mind.”

“Death and life are in the power of the tongue and those who love it will eat its fruit.” (Prov 18:21)

“The unrighteous also has a mouth, tongue and lips but without love his shouting and cursing threats are nothing but sounding brass and clanging cymbals, just a terrible noise. (1 Cor 13:1) His vicious deeds are heaping more coals of judgement on his head.”

“Now, Delia, use that technology in front of you and send the message across the world. It is time for My children to start using this powerful weapon by speaking out loud!”

“Yes, Lord, let Your kingdom come and Your will be done!”

I Am Real!

I posted a message last week with the heading, ‘Paint Me a Picture.’

This week did not start so well and at one stage I desperately surrendered into the Lord’s hands saying, “I give up on painting, Lord. I give up believing and holding on to what I have asked.”

“At least I believe You are here… and I think I missed the essence of believing.”

In a soft voice Jesus said, “Come close to Me, child… Come even closer. Why is it that sometimes you think I am not concerned or that I might have moved away from you?”

“I will never forsake you or even leave you momentarily.”

“When you surrendered your life to Me and opened your heart, the Holy Spirit filled you. We are one.”

“Take your arms and cross them in front of you to grab your shoulders, hold on to yourself because you would also be holding on to Me. Do you get it? I am part of you!”

“Painting pictures of your faith is fine but you are perfectly right when you say you somewhat missed the essence or the heart of faith.”

“I told you in Mathew 6:31-34 not to worry, but to seek Me first and everything else shall be added to you.”

“Seek in this instance does not mean you haven’t found Me yet; it means to come to Me first.”

“However, seek Me because of Me and not because of what shall be added to you. I love you.”

“You see, when you come to Me I love it so much. I would however, love it even more if you remember to stay with Me. Often I see you disappear into your daily activities while thinking about your dreams without remembering Me.”

“It is good to have dreams and painting pictures of your dreams are fine, but I am real. I am alive. I am here!”

Team Tomorrow

Team Tomorrow

Seventy and seven odd more came to the field of team Seven-score. They scored so many times the spectators got bored.

The Papers and the TV stations did not attend the games anymore. They printed the victory the day before. Sport fans tuned into the TV programs to watch future games, where action shots were shown of games played long before and re-arranged to fit the new score.

This is a land of what you get is what you knew long before. Everything meticulously planned and predestined by God.

The news is sold on DVD, packet in boxes of series 1, 2 or 3, filmed on reality shows months before.

Funerals were arranged with final speeches, wills and all. At a specific time, the person says farewell, climbs into his coffin and breaths no more.

This is how it would be if the world were prearranged by God from a to z.

He decided however, that we are good and wise enough to rule everything completely on our own and that our future will definitely not be known!

God allowed this huge world with more than 200 nations, filled with more than 7 billion souls, to rule their own individual lives.

Most people do whatever they decide, good or bad, happy or sad.

Mistakes are often taken for the norm. No nation can be trusted, no leader can be followed, no person has the answer. Only Jesus saves and cares for all. Consequently, the time to trust completely in Him has become more crucial than ever before.

Life isn’t easy, indeed not a game but with Jesus in our team tomorrow is safe and not insane. He knows what tomorrow holds and leads us safe and sound. He took our shame on Him and our mistakes swept off the ground.

God is still in charge you know, using us in His Tomorrow Team.

Why are we so stubborn to try and do everything on our own?

Why haven’t we learnt how to talk and listen to Jesus? It should be the most important subject in Schools and Universities, especially if we want to play for the Tomorrow Team.
